Bicarbonate of Soda is part of the 'Clean and Natural' range. Bicarbonate of Soda is often referred to as Baking Soda (although it hasn't got the raising agents required for baking). Bicarbonate of Soda has a number of useful properties: Neutralising acid A mild abrasive / scouring agent for shiny materials without scratching aluminium, chrome, jewellery, plastic, porcelain, silver, stainless steel and tin. For a more abrasive scouring action, for example, in toilet bowls, use Borax. Extinguishing grease fires. Tip - never throw water on a chip pan fire! Deodoriser for the refrigerator, carpets, upholstery, vinyl, bins, drains. Softening fabrics and removing some stains (use Soda Crystals for more stubborn stains) Softening hard water 100% Natural. Borax is a natural mineral compound discovered over 4000 years ago. It is usually found deep within the ground, and has numerous domestic and commercial uses. The crystals are odourless and can be mixed with most other cleaning agents.
